In Bangladesh No PSC exams from this year

The government has decided not to hold the
Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations
at the end of class five from this year.
Primary and Mass Education Minister
Mostafizur Rahman told the reporters at the
secretariat on Tuesday.
Earlier it was decided that public examinations
will be held at the end of class eight.
The ministry took decision to upgrade primary
education to eighth grade from fifth.
On June 15, the High Court issued a rule
asking why the Primary School Certificate
exams will not be abolished.
Hearing a writ petition, the High Court bench
of Justice Quamrul Islam Siddique and
Justice Razik-Al-Jalil issued the rule.
It asked the education secretary, primary and
mass education secretary and director general
of department of primary and mass education
to respond to the rule by four weeks.
Supreme Court lawyer Eunus Ali Akond filed
the writ petition with the High Court on April 5
seeking its directive to scrap the exams.
On June 5, guardians of school students at a
human chain outside Dhaka's Viqarunnisa
Noon School too urged to abolish the exams
saying it is extra burden for their children.
The Primary School Certificate (PSC)
examinations were introduced in 2009 and
since then the exams have been criticised and
its cancellation has been demanded by the
education specialists and parents.


This desicion of government is very essential.Because it os the time to learn not to implement...the more you read the more you learn..when child will learn upto class 8 they will be able appear the board exam properly.......
